Through my drawing and writing I spit the world out and find connection with myself and with others. A lifelong journaling practice manifested in notebooks of documenting the weight of a lonely teenager, the turmoil of finding my way into respecting myself, and early sketches celebrating the gritty process of becoming. My Journal Series honors and elevates this most authentic aspect of practice. I am fully visible here. I am exposing myself in sharing these images; making vulnerable parts of myself I had tried to censor even from myself before I came to terms with a fact I now believe ardently in that we need each other and to be open with each other to grow. I hope you have questions or that seeing myself laid out for you here forges a connection between us. Reach out if you want to, I am happy to talk more, reflect, or notice anything that interests you.
